Jean-Luc Vinet's 71 Centurion Convertible!
I just bought a Centurion convertible 1971 in
Paris (France). Very good condition. I do not expect to turn it into a show
condition, but the body is perfect, and I am maniac enough to
be willing to rechrome some small parts, (doors handles, mirrors), and re trim
with new seats covers (rear) and door panels.
Most rubbers are OK, and the engine is perfect,
although the left exhaust manifold needs a seal replacement, and perhaps need
to be changed (I am prepared to weld it with nickel sticks, I believe it is
enough for the little use I'll make with this car,( gasoline is at 4 usd/usg
here)!
The dash board is a bit worn. I will see
later. Need to retrieve the Temp needle that fell inside, fix the radio that
stops after 20 minutes, and understand why the heater does not work. I tried
to surf on the net, but parts for Centurions are quite rare
And some of his other toys
It's good to see another 71 Centurion owner in the crowd! These cars
really don't grow on trees. It's extremely hard to find one in good
condition. Good luck with your car!
